Message from the Principal

            Welcome to Nelles!  We are a small, community school with approximately 220 students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6.  Students at Nelles have many opportunities to excel in all areas of the school curriculum and we are proud of our students’ accomplishments.  There are many extra curricular activities here at Nelles such as: cross country, soccer, choir, vocal ensemble, chess, basketball, gymnastics, sign language, Silver Birch and Blue Spruce Reading Clubs, Battle of the Books Team, volleyball, and 3 Pitch. 

            Students are also involved in projects that help our community such as collecting change for the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, collecting canned goods & toys for the Grimsby Benevolent Fund, supporting Big Brothers & Big Sisters and supporting the McNally House Hospice.

             We have an active School Council that hosts many family activities throughout the year like the Dance-a-thon, a Welcome Back BBQ and the Fun Fair.  New members are always welcome. Nelles also has an active parent volunteer community.

            The leadership and dedication of our Nelles staff, the hard work of our students  and the committment of the Nelles community make a great team that allows all  students to achieve success.
