Dress code
Nelles School encourages students to dress in a manner which reflects respect for themselves and for others conducive to an academic atmosphere. Clothing which is suggestive or offensive will not be accepted. This applies to both boys and girls and includes such items as halter and tank tops, tops with spaghetti straps, muscle shirts, tight shirts/jeans/pants. Short-shorts and tops which show the midriff are not for school wear, nor are overly loose pants which are not belted properly. Shirts of any kind that have inappropriate comments or pictures are also not allowed at Nelles School.
Staff reserve the right to speak with students concerning their attire. Hats are to be removed by both boys and girls when entering the school and while students are in the building. We suggest that, if a student is in doubt about the appropriateness of clothing for school, they discuss it with their Home Room teacher.
All students are required to have indoor shoes. Junior students must have shorts, t-shirt, and running shoes for Physical Education classes.
